In order to gain important international experience, a semester abroad is firmly integrated into the course of studies. The semester abroad allows you to deepen your subject-specific knowledge. In addition, you will set individual focus points and get to know the intercultural peculiarities of the chosen cultural area. At the same time, you will perfect your language skills.

In the M.Sc. Business Intelligence & Data Science course you can choose your preferred partner university (PDF) from a global network of universities.

Financing your semester abroad

ISM students can apply for a variety of scholarships and grants for their compulsory semester or internship abroad. Some examples include the Erasmus+ program, Feline Holidays scholarship or different DAAD programs. The International Office is available to help with the application and counselling regarding these financing options.

    Financing options for semester abroad

    Fast Track: On the Fast Lane to Your Master in Business Intelligence & Data Science

    With the option "Fast Track" the semester abroad is omitted and you shorten your internship period. This allows you to complete your master's degree in only 3 semesters with 90 ECTS. Prerequisite: you bring 210 ECTS from your Bachelor (an alternative admission to Fast Track is possible via demonstrated work experience or by taking the ISM Pre-Master).
