Study International Business in Germany

Your all-rounder Business degree

Nowadays, international business studies form the basis for many professions and many graduates of Bachelor's courses need a special business knowledge for their dream job.

A non-specialized Master's degree is the solution for undergraduates who want to acquire specific business expertise with a Master's degree.

This study programme is thus designed - among other - for students who come from a non-business management background, be it engineering, social studies, languages etc., but who looking at advancing their career prospects by pursuing a postgraduate degree in international business.

With our Master of International Business, you can obtain a master's degree in business administration with any first degree. Prior knowledge of business administration is NOT necessary.

Some of the most popular classes of this program include: Strategic Management, Business Development, International Management, Marketing, Intercultural Management, Investment Theory and Finance.

The International Business study program encapsules both academic rigour and industry-wide practical solutions designed to make that quantum leap in a managerial field. Top position in the CHE Master's Ranking

In the current CHE university ranking for Master's degree programs, the ISM was rated very positively for all seven campuses. ISM achieved four out of five stars in all ten categories.

There was particular praise, for example, for the support provided for study stays abroad, the courses offered and for the very strong ties with professional practice.

The only AACSB accredited private German University of Applied Sciences

ISM is recognized at the highest international level by the AACSB (Association to Advance Collegiate Schools of Business) and is the only private German University of Applied Sciences holding the prestigious AACSB accreditation. This is an important international seal of quality which certifies excellence in research and teaching. The key requirements for receiving the prestigious accreditation are: highest quality in teaching, committed lecturers who proactively support students, successful cooperation with companies and international universities as well as very good career entry opportunities for graduates. How Can I Apply?

In order to be able to study International Business, the university conducts an internal admission test. This tests your personality, your motivation and your abilities. The Master's program in International Business is not restricted by a “Numerus Clausus” (NC, average grade).

Kick-started her career in Japan

Tamara moved to Japan after graduating the International Business Master in Germany and started her career as a Continuous Improvement Coach at Continental Japan. Tamara now manages projects that contribute to the continuous improvement of internal processes. When a problem arises, she analyzes the root cause with her team and defines measures for sustainable improvement. "In addition, I organize and lead workshops and trainings for employees and managers on the topic of Lean Methods & Processes."
