1. Fast check via study advisor

This is what you need to submit for the first check of your application:

  • Curriculum vitae (CV)
  • A successfully completed Bachelor's degree (if you have not graduated yet the transcript of records) or
  • an equivalent course of study at a university or university of applied sciences or a foreign university of equivalent level, and
  • examinations must be at least 30 ECTS points in the field of business sciences.
  • Proof of English language skills (if available), equivalent to the B2 level, for eg. TOEFL, IELTS 6.0 or other (only needed if the medium of instruction in your high school/university was not English)

(more details you will find below in the section "Documents to be submitted")

2: Register online for an admission test

Upon sucessful verification of your documents, you will be asked to register for an online admission test. You will then receive a confirmation of enrolment to the admission process with a link to our Online Application Portal and the exact date of your interview with the study program director.

Application deadlines

We have no fixed applications deadlines here at ISM, but we kindly ask international applicants who require a visa for studying in Germany to submit their application documents by

  • July 15th of the same year for the programs starting in fall term.

If you have any questions regarding the application process, please contact your study advisor.

Admission process

Once the online application has been submitted, the  admission process at ISM consists of a case study presentation and an online interview with the study program director. You will present your results of the case study in an oral presentation on the day of the admission interview.

1. Case study presentation

After registering online for an admission test and uploding all available documents, you will have to prepare a case study presentation that you will also have to upload online before the second part of the admission process, the online interview day.

The case study presentation can include: presenting the main results/summary of your Bachelor's thesis or of an extensive term paper you particularly liked or - alternatively – can be on a predefined case study topic that our study advisors will send you in advance.

You will receive an email with exact instructions on the requirements of the case study from us after you've registered online for admission.

2. Online interview & case study presentation

You will receive an email confirming your admission test day on which you will have an interview with the study program director. The goal of this interview is to get to know you and your personal background better. We look forward to getting to learn about your professional and personal goals and your motivation for your postgraduate studies in Germany.

All you need to do is rehearse you presentation and show up on time for the online interview. Once you've had your interview, you await the admission committee's decision, which usually only takes just a few days.

Then you will receive a study contract, sign and return it, and be able to start the visa process or enrollment at ISM.
