The Master's programs are taught 100% in English or in German with some English modules and combine in-depth business knowledge with course-specific content as well as the latest topics and trends from the different branches. All courses have a strong international focus and include - with one exception - a semester abroad at one of ISM's partner universities and the option of getting a Double Degree.

Integrated practical projects and internships, the intensive teaching of soft skills and a personal atmosphere round off the Master's studies at ISM. There is no Numerus Clausus (NC) or specific GPA needed for applying for a Master's programs at ISM.

The Master's programs in German are taught in German with select classes in English. All programs include also foreign language classes, 20 weeks of integrated internships and practical projects. Also, these Master's include a semester abroad and the option of getting a Double Degree at a partner university.

In the current CHE university ranking for Master's degree programs, the ISM was rated very positively for all seven campuses. ISM achieved four out of five stars in all ten categories.

Entry requirements for Master

For the pre-check of your qualification for a Master’s program, please submit the following documents to a study advisor:

  • Bachelor's degree (if available) and Transcript of records
  • Examinations taken should comprise at the end of studies the equivalent of 180 ECTS points. No specific Numerus Clausus or GPA is required
  • Short Curriculum vitae (CV)
  • Proof of English language skills, for eg. TOEFL, IELTS 6.0 or other accepted international language certificate (only needed if the medium of instruction at your university was not English).

Upon examination and sucessful verification of your documents, you will be asked to register for an online admission test.

Recommended application period beforehand:

At least 1 month in advance if your country of origin is in the EU and you do not need a visa. Ca. 4 months up to one year year before your start semester, if you come from a non-EU country.

Please get informed from your country's German consulate how long the visa application process is currently taking, as this varies a lot between countries.
