Data Science programs - Admission requirements and deadlines
To apply for a data science program, please submit the following documents when applying online:
- For Master: Bachelor's diploma (if available)
- For Bachelor: High school certificate (if already available)
- Transcript of records
- Curriculum vitae (CV)
- Copy of passport or national ID card
- Proof of English language skills, corresponding to min. B2 level, for example TOEFL, IELTS or other certificate.

ISM does not have strict application dates, but applicants who apply for a full-time program and require a study visa please submit the application by
- June 15th for the fall starting programs
- December 15th for the spring term programs
- Please get informed from your country' consulate how long the visa process currently takes and prepare acordingly in advance.
The admission process result is valid for 1 year, so we recommend that you start applying even before having your final school leaving certificate or Bachelor's degree in order to save your study place, have enough time to apply for visa and secure study fee discounts of up to 1,500 Euro.

- Upload all documents and certificates required. Please provide all relevant information about your academic and personal background, such as your resume, transcript of records, high school leaving certificate, Bachelor’s degree certificate or proof of English knowledge (if available).
- The admission process also includes preparing a presentation and a structured online selection interview.
- The online interview will focus on your personal background, your goals, and your motivation for studying.
- After successfully completing the application process, you will receive a letter of admission and, subsequently, your study contract.

Studying data science is a good idea if you have no background in computer systems or data systems. Entry-level data science positions are often expected to know data base SQL, data visualization tools, and statistical computing You can complete your Data Science Bachelor's full-time in 6 semesters and earn 180 ECTS credit points. Also, you can complete the Data Science Master's in 3 to 4 semesters (with 90 respectively 120 ECTS), depending whether or not you wish to also take a semester abroad and expand your international experience.
Also, during the data science undergraduate degree, you have the opportunity to complete an additional seventh semester abroad if you pick the "Global Track". This option is elective and you will graduate with 210 ECTS credit points. For more information, contact the study advisors.
