#In the Middle of Practice

Welcome to Armani!

All unique pieces: The trousers in S, the suit in M or the jacket in L - each piece is available exactly once in the Armani store on Düsseldorf's Königsallee. But the location of the shops and availability are only two characteristics of exclusivity. In a conversation with store manager Evangelos Tsangos, the master students Luxury, Fashion & Sales Management got a picture of the Armani philosophy, the concept of the stores and the collections of one of the most famous luxury brands in the world.

Discover International Trends

In addition to practical relevance, internationality plays an important role in the Fashion Master. Your studies in Luxury Management include

#On the Move Internationally During the Studies

Servus from China's largest city

As a fashion management student, Christina Exner did not choose a typical fashion capital like Paris or London for her semester abroad, but Shanghai. "I was particularly attracted by the idea of experiencing a completely new culture and finding my place in a global metropolis alongside 25 million other people." One of the many highlights for Christina was a visit to Shanghai Fashion Week.

How Can I Apply?

The Master Sales Management is not restricted by a “Numerus Clausus” (NC). Instead, there is an internal entrance test of the university, which tests your motivation, your abilities and your personality structure.

  • Successful participation in the admission test
#Springboard to Your Career

Passion for fashion turned into a career

"There is a lot of room for new ideas in my job. I am independently responsible for the support and further development of the blog. I work on the planning, implementation and evaluation of all trade marketing measures and support the PR activities." During her fashion management studies, Nadine was able to gain her first practical experience and expand her network through internships and working student jobs. "The studies were the perfect mix of theory and practice, so I was well prepared for my career start."

What career can I follow with fashion management?

The fashion industry is colorful, diverse and offers you numerous fields of application after your master's degree. In addition to creative designs, fashion requires above all experts in customer needs and economic processes. As a fashion manager, for example, you will be responsible for the marketing of brands and designs, and as a retail manager you will be responsible for managing branches and stores. You can decide for yourself in which area you want to work after your studies by choosing individual specializations such as brand communication, supply chain management, digital marketing or market and consumer psychology. During your studies, you will get to know various jobs and departments in the luxury fashion business through internships and many practical projects.

After graduation, you will be a versatile specialist and manager for powerful fashion brands and companies. You can start your career thanks to your profound know-how in business administration and specialist knowledge in many areas of fashion and consumer goods, such as:

  • Brand management, product development or product management
  • Trend scouting (international fashion and lifestyle trends)
  • Store management marketing and e-commerce
  • Merchandising
  • Procurement
  • Logistics
  • etc.

After graduation, you will find job opportunities in the fashion business that match your acquired skills at manufacturers, retail companies or agencies. Typical jobs include fashion manager, product manager, sales manager, store manager, marketing manager, digital manager, and social media manager, etc.

Graduates of this program started their careers in well-known companies such as

For us, contact with universities is a fundamental pillar of successful personnel marketing. Through direct contact with ISM students in the form of lectures, we were able to position L'Oréal as an attractive employer brand and find out what potential employees associate with us as an employer. This has improved the levers that determine the attractiveness of employers within the target groups of students and graduates.
Rolf Sigmund, former Managing Director, L'Oréal Germany GmbH
