Entry requirements

Our Bachelor programs are designed for applicants who have achieved general qualification for German university admission.

For the pre-check of your qualification for a Bachelor’s program, please submit the following documents to a study advisor:

  • Brazil university entrance exam ENEM (Exame Nacional do Ensino Médio, if already available)
  • School leaving certificate (high school degree, if available)
  • Transcript of records. No specific Numerus Clausus (NC) is required to apply at ISM!
  • Short Curriculum vitae (CV)
  • Optional: English language certificate (if available).

We will gladly perform a fast check for you if you send us your documents above. Upon examination and sucessful verification of your documents, you will be asked to apply online.

Recommended application period beforehand for Brazilian students: ca. 3-4 months before semester start.

Please get informed from the German consulate in Brazil how long the visa application process is currently taking in order to be able to start your studies on time.

Application period and deadlines

While we do not have any strict or fixed application dates for our programs, we kindly ask international applicants who require a study visa for Germany to try to submit their complete application documents no later than:

  • July 15th for the programs that start in the fall term and
  • December 15th for the programs starting in the spring term.

Note: the valability of the admission test at ISM is of 1 year.

Embarking on your academic journey in Germany begins with a straightforward online application process. First, choose your preferred degree.
Step 1: Online Application
Verify admission requirements
  • If you're dreaming of spending your undergraduate studies in the heart of Europe, you have to meet certain eligibility requirements, such as having a school leaving certifcate that entitles you to study at a German university.
  • So first, ensure your higher secondary education is recognized – this means your 10+2 certificate must be equivalent to the German Abitur. At ISM we recognize your regular school leaving certificate from Turkey as well as the Turkish university entrance exam ÖSYM.
  • Second, we ask future students to have an English level corresponding to the B2 level European framework.
  • Having a prior English certificate is not necessary for registering in a Bachelor’s program at ISM.
  • If you do not have an English language certificate such as TOEFL, Cambridge or IELTS, we will ask you to take an English assessment test online as integral part of the admission process.

Send us your documents for a pre-check of your application
  • Gather all available documents such as transcripts of your grades (transcript of records), school leaving certificate (if already available), Turkish university entrance exam ÖSYM (if available), write your CV, and make sure that you have a valid passport.
    Send these documents to our study advisor (see below) to verify whether you meet the general criteria to apply. They will gladly perform a fast check before we can give you green light to upload your documents online. This service as well as the application itself is free of charge.

Apply online for admission
  • Apply for an admission test date online and subsequently fill out the online application form on our website.
  • We'll send you a link to our Application Portal where you can upload your documents by email after you have registered for an "admission test". Besides the documents mentioned above, we ask you to include a digital passport photo, the original, translated copies of your certificates and a short, compelling motivation letter.
    In your application, we are interested to get to know you better, your background and the motivation for your studies. There is no Numerus Clausus (NC) in our programs, so no worries. Please upload everything in PDF format. 
  • Register here for the admission process.
Step 2: Online assessment in Maths and English and online interview
Take online assessment test in Mathematics and English
  • Once you've registered online for admission, any time prior to your admission interview day you will have to take two assessments online, one in Mathematics and one in English (if you do not have any language cerficate or have not studied in English). You’ll receive the link to the online tests as well as the subjects needed to prepare with instructions from us by email.

Online interview with university staff
  • On the admission test day you will have an interview with our staff. We want to get to know you and your motivation to study at ISM. We’ll also briefly discuss with you the results of your math & English tests and clarify the next steps and your questions. 
  • Once you've had your interview, you await the admission committee's decision, which usually takes just a few days.
Step 3: Decision and visa application

  • Once you've successfully passed your interview, you will receive a study contract for you to sign.
  • Then you'll make your decision. Once accepted, you will receive a confirmation letter from us with which you can apply for a student visa at the German Embassy and start the visa and other procedures needed to study.

As a private university and non-profit organization, ISM is financed exclusively through tuition fees. These fees are used to finance ourselves and continuously improve the quality of teaching and your access to top services.

Don't let finances hold you back from appying. You can study cost effectively in Germany without breaking the bank. While we are a private business schools that charges fixed fees per semester, there are multiple options to finance your studies or some scholarships open for you.

In addition to study fees, calculate living expenses that can easily range from €700-€1,200 monthly, covering your accommodation, food and travel expenses. The cost of living varies largely depeding on the city chosen.
