Motivation for more: ISM student from India receives DAAD Award
Today, the 23-year-old studies Finance at ISM Frankfurt and received the DAAD Award for his impressive social and academic achievements. "The award is a great recognition for me and motivates me to do even more," says the student from Pune. Every year, the German Academic Exchange Service (DAAD) awards the prize, which is endowed with 1,000 euros, to international students at German universities.
Mayur particularly likes the fact that internationality is very important at the ISM. "During my time here, I got to know fellow students from over 15 different countries. I believe that through such intercultural activities you grow as a person." This is why Mayur also makes time between internship and master’s thesis to get involved as a mentor for international students who are just starting out in Germany. His tip for newcomers: "Don't be afraid to ask questions no matter how silly they seem to you. It will make your life easier. The International Office, for example, has always been very helpful to me and has supported me with all my questions even before and during my studies."
