Tuition fees & financing of Pre-Master

Studying a Pre-Master program at the ISM is a valuable investment in the future, as it prepares you for a Master's in business, regadless of your previous academic background. As a private university of applied sciences, we offer practice-oriented and internationally focused programs with practical teaching and close faculty support.

To make ISM more accessible for all, we provide a range of scholarships and financing options. Study fees – Pre-Master's program

How to make international payments

In order to simplify international payments from our students, ISM has established a cooperation with Flywire. This service can be used to pay the fees such as your security deposit for admission. Flywire takes care of the transfer along with calculating the currency difference (foreign currency to Euro). This is a simple and comfortable payment option to make your start at the ISM easier.

How to make a payment

  1. Enter your payment amounts and country of origin and click "Next".
  2. Select your preferred payment method from the options provided. Options may include bank transfer, debit/credit card in your home currency, electronic payment, or other local options.
  3. Enter your payer and student information to initiate your payment booking.
  4. Follow the instructions provided, based on your chosen payment method, to send funds to Flywire and complete your payment.
  5. Receive email and text status updates each step of the way, including a confirmation when your payment has been delivered to ISM. If you create a Flywire account, you can also track your payment by logging in at any time.

If you want to study the Pre-Master's program qualifying you for a postgraduate program at ISM - international, practice-oriented, and future-focused - you can start your journey through a straightforward online application process and become part of a vibrant, international university community.

From your first inquiry to admission, the process is clearly structured, allowing you to demonstrate your abilities and motivation, which matter more than your grades.

  • Numerus clausus (NC) is NOT required
  • No GMAT or GPA required

Pre-Master program curriculum

In the one-semester Pre-Master, which starts each spring semester at ISM, students with a non-economic Bachelor degrees receive a sound business education at university level qualifying them for a later Master's degree. The programme has been specially tailored to the needs of prospective managers so that they are optimally prepared for a Master's degree in a management or business administration program.

In addition to the basic principles of business administration, accounting and quantitative methods, students also learn about human resource management and international marketing.

Pre-Master

Business administration preparation for non-business economists

Sound knowledge of business administration is often the prerequisite for a Master's programme in the field of management. However, many interested students do not meet the admission requirements with their Bachelor's programme.

The compact preparatory semester enables you to qualify for the diverse Master's programme at ISM. It doesn't matter in which field you have completed your Bachelor's degree: we make you fit for the Master's!

How can I apply for the Pre-Master?

In order to be able to study the Pre-Master at ISM, you complete a digital application process that considers your personality, motivation, and skills. You apply online, upload your documents, attend a personal selection interview – and, if successful, secure your study place directly. The Business Administration Preparation Semester is not restricted by a “Numerus Clausus” (NC, average grade).

Application process for the Pre-Master

Those who decide to study at our business school go through a clearly structured, professionally designed selection process. From the initial contact to final admission, every step is transparent and efficiently organized, including personal support.

This allows you to concentrate on what matters most right from the start: your professional and personal development, interacting with ambitious individuals in an international environment, and consciously shaping your academic and professional perspectives.

Application – Pre-Master (preparatory semester)

Admission requirements

To be admitted to the Pre-Master's program at ISM, you need to have successfully completed a Bachelor's degree with at least 180 ECTS credits or an equivalent degree from a university, university of applied sciences, or recognized foreign university.

You do not need to provide proof of prior knowledge of economics to be admitted to the Pre-Master's program. For this English-language program, you also need an official English language certificate – at least at B2 level.
