A special feature of the Master programs in Berlin at ISM is their strong international orientation. All programs include a semester abroad, which is spent at one of the numerous partner universities, in Europe or overseas.

Entry requirements - Master programs in Berlin

For the pre-check of your qualification for a Master’s program, please submit the following documents to a study advisor:

  • Your Bachelor's degree (certified translation in English, if available) (PDF)
  • Transcript of records (PDF)
  • Curriculum vitae (CV) ) (PDF)
  • English language certificate (if available), for eg. TOEFL, IELTS 6.0 or other international language certificate (only needed if the medium of instruction in your university was not English).

Upon sucessful verification of your documents, you will be asked to register for an online admission test.

Application period and deadlines

While we do not have any strict or fixed application dates for our programs, we kindly ask international applicants who require a study visa for Germany to try to submit their complete application documents no later than:

  • July 15th for the programs that start in the fall term and
  • December 15th for the programs starting in the spring term.

Note: the valability of the admission test at ISM is of 1 year. We already accept applications for fall 2025.
