In addition to academic excellence, the DAAD Prize highlights social involvement beyond the classroom. Throughout his studies at ISM, Ivan has been actively engaged in various initiatives. As a member of the Munich Business and Finance Club, he regularly participated in discussions on business and financial topics and supported academic exchange among peers. Furthermore, he offered tutoring sessions to fellow students, providing support not only with academic content but also with organizational challenges. For a short period, Ivan was also involved in the National Model United Nations (NMUN), gaining valuable insights into international cooperation, diplomacy, and teamwork.
His motivation for this engagement is rooted in a strong sense of responsibility towards the community. Ivan strongly believes in the positive impact of mutual support and knowledge sharing. “I strongly believe that if everyone helps where they can, the world becomes a better place,” he explains.
At an international university like ISM, an inclusive and supportive student community plays a particularly important role. With students from diverse cultural, academic, and personal backgrounds coming together, Ivan highlights the importance of creating an environment in which everyone feels welcomed, respected, and valued. Such a community not only supports academic success but also promotes intercultural understanding, personal growth, and a strong sense of belonging.
Looking back, the most rewarding aspect of his engagement has been witnessing its positive impact on others. Seeing appreciation, progress, and lasting connections among students has been especially fulfilling and motivating.
ISM congratulates our student Ivan Pizzinini on this outstanding achievement and is proud to recognize both the academic excellence and social commitment demonstrated through the DAAD Prize.
