With ISM at the National Model United Nations
"Welcome to New York" was the motto for the ISM students at the beginning of April, marking the start of five "unforgettable days" as they report. The exchange with students from many cultures, the broadened view beyond their own horizons and the joint work on global conflict solutions brought completely new aspects to their perspective. The backdrop of New York - as a symbol of an international force field - completed the inspiration. "Together with other delegates, I drew up a comprehensive working paper on the protection of displaced and refugee children. My focus was on the financial sector," says Amulya Gonsalves from ISM Berlin. "Outside of the conference hall, I am taking away new global contacts and great impressions from New York City."
For the ISM students, however, it was not just an opportunity to gain international and political experience. They also expanded their social skills. "At the conference, I was able to apply and refine leadership and communication skills and make a positive contribution to tackling urgent global challenges," says Georgios Tzioridis, who is studying International Management at ISM Dortmund.
