ISM students visit interior architecture design agency Studio Ash
How do you design private and public spaces in such a way that they inspire, convince and make people happy? Students on the Luxury, Fashion and Sales Management Master's course at the ISM campus in Cologne were able to get an idea of this at interior architecture design agency Studio Ash.
Course leader and lecturer Dr. Rainer Schmidt brought the students together with managing partner Silke Knodel on the excursion. She vividly explained the requirements of an agency that operates internationally in the highest luxury sector to the guests. The process steps of a project were highlighted in detail and the latest trends were discussed.
The philosophy of Studio Ash is based on: Curiosity, passion and joie de vivre as the basis of creativity, coupled with “a feel for materials, a love of detail and the courage to create something special”, as Knodel emphasized.
Using selected projects from Studio Ash's wide range of activities, e.g. luxury yacht design, interior design of private jets, luxury villas, office design, luxury hotels, the students were able to understand how individual ideas of customers are realized with unusual authentic materials, lighting design and coordinated color worlds.
Lecturer Rainer Schmidt concluded:
Silke Knodel from Studio Ash addressed the diverse topics in a lively manner, visibly inspiring our students.
