Passion for travel turned into a profession
When a former schoolmate talked about his many stays abroad in the ISM study program, Patrizia felt the urge to travel. With the prospect of expanding her commercial training with an international degree, she decided to study International Management at ISM.
The small course groups and the close contact to the lecturers helped me a lot. I particularly liked the practical relevance and the opportunity to deepen my language skills," explains Patrizia. "As a student, you may not always recognize this, but ISM makes studying easier for you with its individual support in many areas.
A highlight of Patrizia's studies were of course the stays abroad. After an internship in Chinese Hangzhou and her Global Track semester abroad at UCT Cape Town, she decided to pursue a career abroad. The ISM graduate now works as a New Business Development Manager at African Ample Assistance, a tour operator in Cape Town. She can also live out her passion for travel at work.
"I have been to trade fairs in New York, workshops in Poland, to new customers in Germany and Finland and to road shows in Lithuania, Estonia and Latvia," reports Patrizia. "Every time I find it great to meet people from all over the world. Building my career in South Africa was a long way, but it worked and I'm very happy with it".
