With 2020, a year like no other is coming to an end. The Corona era has prompted many to ask themselves: "What is important to me?" and "What should our future look like?“ In addition to brief retrospects, this year’s last issue of ISM NEWS therefore focuses primarily on the future and provides insights into career decisions and the commitment of students and graduates.

ISM students Jana Bene and Jessica Schaumburg, for example, have set a new course for their career path. While ISM newcomer Jana started her part-time master's program, master's student Jessica completed an internship at Deutsche Telekom AG. Together with ISM graduate Stefanie Kliger, Managing Director and Chief People Officer at AVANTGARDE Group, she gives helpful tips for a successful internship in the home office.

Collecting donations for schools in Congo, shaping the new Berlin campus or establishing an academic finance association: the commitment of ISM students and graduates is manifold. Ashraf Elzoheri, for example, comes from Egypt and supports other international students in the "Start with a friend" project. ISM graduate Tim Preisenhammer works for a company that specializes in sustainability in building management. Anyone who, like Tim, wants to pursue a career in the field of sustainability will find the new master's program Sustainability & Business Transformation the ideal preparation. In our interview, program director Brigitte Spieß tells you exactly how.

The ISM NEWS are now available on all campuses and online.
