Global marketing in Hong Kong
Nadia Haarhoff has moved to Hong Kong after her bachelor studies in International Management at ISM Munich. Here, the 23-year-old works in BASF's Global Business Management for Formulation Additives, which refers to additives for coatings and paints. "I am responsible for the global marketing of our six product groups. For example, my team and I create brochures and are responsible for brand design," explains Haarhoff. She is also responsible for implementing new ideas - including, for example, redesigning the trade fair presentation.
ISM Alumna had nothing to do with chemistry before. "For me, the challenge on the job started with understanding the products I was supposed to be responsible for. In addition, products such as defoamers or surface modifiers had to be breathed life into them. But with creative marketing, even a thematically almost dry industry can achieve an emotional result - an exciting process".
