Entry into investment banking
"After completing my dual bachelor's degree in business administration, I found that a master's degree is helpful when starting out in investment banking. That's why I chose M.Sc. Finance at ISM," says Michael Johner, a graduate of M.Sc. Finance. "In addition to the focus on finance, the opportunity to earn a double degree at a renowned foreign university was a decisive factor in my decision".
After gaining practical experience during internships at Commerzbank and the European financial consulting firm Leonardo & Co, Johner went to Lancaster University in the UK for a double degree. In addition to his M.Sc. in Finance at ISM, he also successfully completed his M.Sc. in Accounting & Financial Management.
Immediately afterwards, he started his career as an analyst at Leonardo & Co in Frankfurt/Main. "Since I was already involved in many work processes during my internship and was familiar with some of the processes from case studies from lectures at ISM, my entry into the profession went smoothly. I immediately felt part of the team".
