E-Commerce & Social Media: Internship at Milupa
At Milupa, everything revolves around the baby and the healthy nutrition of child and mother. ISM student Ena Banovic immersed herself in this world of milk food, baby porridge and dietary supplements for a three-month internship.
The Strategic Marketing Management student supported the Trademarketing/Sales department in Bad Homburg in looking after its online trading partners. She was also responsible for the Milupa brand and a major drugstore customer. In various projects, she was able to independently expand the practical knowledge she had acquired during her studies. This included, for example, the planning of a product test sticker for a Milupa porridge and the so-called 2017 retail marketing packages. In close cooperation with the responsible agency, she designed flyers for a customer and produced a brochure for a baby bonus programme.
"My area of responsibility also included the preparation and planning of advertising measures for the Milupa e-commerce trade partners," says the 26-year-old. "In detail, this means that I was responsible for the creation of numerous online banners. The evaluation and presentation of the results was also one of the student's tasks. Ena Banovic was closely involved in Milupa's "The First 1,000 Days" campaign, which focuses on nutrition in the first 1,000 days of a baby. Whether it was the creation and design of landing pages and sub-pages, the formulation of competition questions, Facebook postings or newsletters - Ena Banovic was able to contribute everywhere.
All the more satisfied was the Master's student at the end of her internship. "It gave me a profound and contrasting insight into the professional world and the complex structures of trade marketing," she sums up, "The different tasks and the support of the online area in particular made the internship varied and varied. Cross-departmental "Onboarding Sessions" gave her insights into other areas of the company and enabled her to get to know internal processes and the interaction between different departments even better. Three months in the Milupa world that more than paid off for Ena Banovic.
