ISM students can look forward to return to campus for the fall term.

Step by step we reclaim our everyday life. After ISM moved teaching into virtual classrooms within only a few days in March, personal encounters are now taking place more often. For the coming fall term 2020, the university plans to teach mainly on campus again and offers a concept that combines presence and online classes.

The safety and health of the ISM community has the highest priority and so hygiene and safety concepts have been adapted again and again over the past months. Currently, study counselling, admission tests and some of the examinations can take place on-site again. If the current infection situation allows, students will be able to return to their campus from September on. "We are proud of the fact that we as a team have managed to move the spring term online and that our students can continue their studies seamlessly. But as a university, we also thrive on being a place of encounter and need this to discuss topics critically. Therefore, we are looking forward to meeting our students again in person, hopefully soon," explains ISM president Prof. Dr. Ingo Böckenholt.

Digital and on campus - the many ISM services such as the Career Center and the student advisory are available to students in the usual quality. Since the future course of infection and the measures to contain the corona pandemic are hardly predictable, ISM will react flexibly to new challenges. This also includes keeping an eye on the needs of international students, for whom planning security is particularly important. In the English-language programs, courses will therefore be offered both as classic lectures on campus and online. If, for example, difficulties arise during their entry to Germany, the new ISM students can start digitally and then transfer to their preferred campus. In addition, the application deadline for students from abroad who require a visa has been extended until mid-October.
