Between fashion and art in the heart of France
As a fashion management student, Sharon Gröbe only considered one destination for her semester abroad - the metropolis of Paris. "When it comes to fashion, France has a high priority. Brands like Louis Vuitton and Chanel have their headquarters here," says the 26-year-old. "I've looked at different and unusual shop concepts in the luxury goods industry to get a better understanding of the industry behind them.
In addition to the luxury brands, Sharon, as an art lover, also had countless museums on her programme. "Paris has a lot to offer culturally. The French enjoy and celebrate life, which mainly takes place outside on the streets," enthuses the ISM student from M.A. Luxury, Fashion & Sales Management. "The surrounding area of Paris is also within easy reach - Bordeaux and the Champagne are beautiful.
Sharon chose INSEEC Business School Paris for her studies. "I particularly liked the international classes and the fact that they are taught by lecturers with many years of experience in the luxury sector. We gave numerous presentations, so I was able to learn a lot about intercultural teamwork," says Sharon, who graduated from INSEEC Paris with a double degree.
The ISM student recommends all students who have in mind a stay abroad in the city of love to look for an apartment at an early stage and to plan enough money for food and leisure activities. "The rents and the usual costs in Paris are very high," says Sharon, who will take off after her studies as Regional Sales Manager in the Fast Moving Consumer Goods sector.
