Baseball, Culture and Road Trips: Semester Abroad in Boston
After Hanna Albrecht had spent several months in a language school in the USA, it was clear that she would also spend her two semesters abroad in the land of unlimited possibilities. In addition to the English language, it was above all the openness, friendliness and helpfulness of the Americans that pleased the fashion management student so much and helped her make a successful start in Boston.
With Boston University, Hanna has chosen one of the most prestigious universities in the USA for her double degree with a focus on innovation and technology. "The university offers by its size and variety a mad Campus atmosphere. In addition to the academic courses, there is a huge selection of sporting activities and student circles," Hanna says.
Many professors at Boston University have an excellent resume. Some of them have a degree from Harvard and years of professional experience, some from their own companies.
Not only the university in Boston has a lot to offer, but also the city itself. In addition to social evenings in pubs and sports bars, the Boston baseball team "Red Sox" often plays games in Fenway Park. On warm days, students relax on the Charles River or in the city park. "Students and young professionals come from many different countries, which gives the city a very international flair," says the 24-year-old. "On road trips we explored the area around Boston and saw beautiful coastal villages.
