First day at ISM and the students in Frankfurt already went on discovery tour through the city – on boat.

Coming from 24 countries like Norway, Argentina, Peru or Finland, 150 guest students have arrived in Germany and are looking forward to the winter semester at ISM in Dortmund, Frankfurt and Munich. On orientation day they got to know their new campus, tasted Bavarian food or went on a boat trip on the Main river.

"The guest students were really excited for their first day at ISM. On orientation day, they explored the city as part of a small treasure hunt," says Julia Welker from the International Office in Dortmund. In addition to the lessons, the new students are up to many leisure activities that are part of the Buddy Program and are organized by the International Office and ISM students. Skiing, drinking mulled wine at the Christkindlmarkt, a visit to the chocolate museum or the Oktoberfest – all guest students can look forward to a colorful program beside the cramming for classes. "It provides an opportunity for all of the students to make new contacts, discover new perspectives and build up an international network," says Welker.
