Semester Abroad and Global Internship: ISM News 02/2017

This August, we have something special for you: the new-look ISM News 02/2017 is now available. It is the first time we have offered a bilingual (German and English) version of the magazine. A separate English edition will, therefore, no longer be published.

Johannes Bockmann undertook an internship in Ghana during his undergraduate course and this quickly ignited his passion for the country and its people. Today, the former ISM student is Deputy Managing Director of a company that develops health sector projects for Africa – and he continues to commute regularly between Germany and Africa (page 19).

A long-distance flight was something that Sabrina Schmidt, who spent a semester in Irvine on the US west coast, also had to undertake. But it appears California, America’s Golden State, is the ideal location, not only for holidaying, but also for studying. Turn to page 12 to find out more about her semester abroad.

This year’s ISM delegation to the National Model United Nations (NMUN) also travelled to the USA and talk about their experiences in the magazine (page 8). And it goes without saying that you will once again be able to read about exciting research projects and excursions.

The latest edition of ISM News is now available at each campus. An eBook version can be downloaded here.
