International Orientation of the ISMStudents at the ISM develop lingual and intercultural skills through intensive foreign language training as well as integrated foreign semesters at one of more than 170 ISM partner universities and internships abroad. This international focus is reflected in all the ISM's study programs.

All the ISM's bachelor's programs have two integrated foreign semesters - a compulsory one at an ISM partner university in Europe (European track) and an optional one at an ISM partner university outside Europe (Global track). Students of the English trail in the B.A. International Management program can likewise choose to do one or two foreign semesters, the first of which (in the fourth semester) can already be at an ISM partner university outside Europe.
All master's program students spend their third semester at an ISM partner university either in Europe or further afield. The integrated twelve-week practical phase, too, can take place outside Germany if the student so wishes. Additionally, students in all the ISM's master's programs have the opportunity to graduate with an international double degree.

The ISM's extra-occupational programs are no less international. Students in the B.A. Business Administration course complete a two-week language course at a prestigious language school in the U.K. A stay abroad is also an integral part of the M.A. Management course. The MBA General Management program, meanwhile, comprises four modules abroad (in the United States, Brussels, India and Hong Kong).
