Moritz Petri spent five months at Boston University during his semester abroad in M.Sc. Finance. The confirmed admirer of the USA used Boston’s close proximity to Canada, New York, Washington and Chicago to explore the country.

“We experienced so many things together and had a great time,” says Moritz. He was also impressed with the courses at Boston University. “We completed homework each week and learned intensively for the preliminary and final exams.” Also noticeable was the special camaraderie that exists between the students, which is particularly represented through sport. “Just about everyone wears a hoody emblazoned with the name of the university and is involved in some form of sport or physical exercise,” explains Moritz. “You realise the students are proud of their university and seem to have a special bond with it.” The semester in Boston truly was the highlight of his degree course. “The five months were just awesome! I met so many new people, discovered new cultures, overcame challenges and made important contacts.”
