Caroline Schumacher knew in advance that London experiences an average of 150 days of rain per year, but this did not put her off spending a semester on the banks of the Thames. The courses offered by the London Metropolitan University were the decisive factor for the 23-year-old, who at the time was a student on the master’s course in International Transport & Logistics at ISM in Frankfurt/Main. Caroline was able to study Aviation Management in London, specialising in the aviation business sector. The ISM student subsequently completed her master’s thesis at Lufthansa Cargo AG.

The course at the London Metropolitan University, whose campuses are located in the heart of London’s commercial district and in the London Borough of Islington, was very similar to the course at ISM. The lecturers are industry professionals who ensure students receive both theoretical and practical knowledge. Teaching also takes place in small groups to enable intensive teamwork. Caroline really enjoyed her time in London. She was able to perfect her English and put it to the test in a multi-cultural city. In addition, Caroline experienced daily the hustle and bustle of this gigantic city that never sleeps.
